Another EuroMillions Win for Spain

Another EuroMillions Win for Spain
Updated: Wednesday 14th May 2014

Spain landed its second EuroMillions jackpot win in a row on Friday, giving the nation three jackpot successes this year. That is one more than the only other jackpot-winning nation of 2014, France, and it will be interesting to see if the European neighbours can keep the friendly rivalry going. The UK has yet to succeed at the highest level in the EuroMillions game, but there is still plenty of time for Brits to stage a comeback, and this Tuesday’s jackpot of £12 million might help to get us started.

The main numbers drawn in the EuroMillions game on Friday 14 February were 02, 04, 06, 19 and 39, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 07. The single Spanish ticket that matched all of those numbers won £20,927,566, and another six entries (three of which were purchased in the UK) won £187,470 each by matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star. There were 2,821,564 consolation prizes won in total, and a separate Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million was landed by the UK player who matched the number PTX668934.

Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot win was followed the very next evening by a single ticket landing the top prize in the Lotto game. The winning ticket matched the main numbers 15, 17, 19, 22, 33 and 40 to take down a rollover jackpot with a final value of £5,650,135, whilst six other tickets matched five of those numbers plus the Bonus Ball number 27 to win a second tier prize of £64,381 each. More than 301,000 prizes were won at the lower tiers, and the Lotto Raffle game created an additional 100 winners of £20,000 each. The next Lotto jackpot will be worth around £2.2 million.

Health Lottery players weren’t left out of the jackpot-winning action at the weekend by any means. The main numbers drawn in the Health Lottery game on Saturday 15 February were 01, 10, 19, 22 and 40, and the Bonus Ball was 14. Two tickets matched all five of the main numbers to win the top prize of £100,000 each and more than 92,000 consolation prizes were won by players matching fewer numbers.

Another weekend full of big winners proved once again that everyone who buys a lottery ticket has a very real chance of experiencing a life-changing slice of good fortune. Click here to buy your midweek lottery tickets online and the next big stroke of luck could be yours!
