A Weekend of Lottery Winners!

A Weekend of Lottery Winners!
Updated: Monday 4th August 2014

The first weekend of the month was packed with lottery winners, with top prizes being landed in both the UK Lotto and Health Lottery games. The jackpot in the EuroMillions game on Friday rolled over, but even in that game there were plenty of consolation prize winners, and UK participants proved to be just as lucky as anyone else. The big question now is whether or not the good luck can continue in the midweek games, with the EuroMillions draw this Tuesday offering a mouth-watering jackpot worth around £17 million.

The results of the latest EuroMillions game on Friday 1 August were 24, 44, 46, 48 and 50, with the numbers 05 and 10 appearing as the Lucky Stars. We have already established that the jackpot rolled over, but six tickets – two of which had been purchased in the UK – were able to win their owners £163,443 each by matching all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars. Another 14 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £23,349 each, and the total number of prizes won was 1,832,607. The Millionaire Raffle number, which was worth £1 million to the player who matched it, was DPN998170.

In the Lotto game on Saturday, the main numbers drawn were 13, 23, 28, 37, 42 and 45, and the Bonus Ball number was 25. Three tickets matched all six main numbers to share a jackpot worth £4,415,154, so each of the winners can now claim the sum of £1,471,718. The second tier prize level saw five tickets match five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and 254,831 tickets won smaller prizes at the lower levels. As if that wasn't enough, the Lotto Raffle game awarded a prize of £20,000 to each of 50 winners.

The Health Lottery continued the winning trend on Saturday, with one ticket matching the main numbers 13, 31, 33, 35 and 46 to win a top prize of £100,000. There were plenty of winners at the consolation prize levels too, with more than 12,000 tickets matching four or fewer numbers – with or without the Bonus Ball number 20 – to land prizes of £10, £20, £50, £250 or £10,000 each.

With a weekend of lottery winners getting the new month off to such a good start, all eyes will now be on the EuroMillions game this Tuesday. Click here to grab your tickets online and if you're lucky you just might win yourself a rollover jackpot worth £17 million!
