25 Lotto Millionaires Guaranteed!
This Saturday 10 October the new Lotto Millionaire Raffle game will celebrate its launch by creating 25 winners of £1 million each. In future games there will be a single winner of £1 million, plus another 20 Lotto Raffle winners of £20,000 each, so the creation of 25 brand new millionaires really is something special, and all that anyone has to do to stand a chance of winning one of those prizes is buy a regular entry for the main Lotto game.
The new rules for the Lotto game this Saturday and beyond require players to select six main numbers from the range 1 to 59. That larger range of numbers is something which is expected to help create bigger jackpots, and in addition there will be a new prize tier that will reward players with a free Lucky Dip entry if they match just two main numbers.
The final Lotto game under the old rules, where there were just 49 numbers in play, took place on Wednesday 7 October, and the main numbers drawn were 05, 07, 11, 30, 44 and 49. The jackpot was worth £3,348,134, and we are pleased to confirm that one ticket matched all of the numbers required to win that sum outright. Another eight tickets won £12,956 each by matching five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball number (which was 25), and over 219,000 entries landed smaller prizes at the lower levels.
The jackpot for the first new-look Lotto game this Saturday is expected to be worth £4.5 million, so we look forward to seeing if someone will be able to land that prize straight away. Of course, even if that jackpot rolls over, plenty of consolation prizes will be landed and 25 players are guaranteed to win £1 million each in the Lotto Millionaire Raffle game.
Good luck to those of you who will be playing for a slice of that cash, and also to those of who will be trying to win the £17 million rollover jackpot in the EuroMillions game this Friday. This weekend will certainly see plenty of UK lottery players become brand new millionaires, so think lucky thoughts and one of them just might be you!Thursday 8th October 2015
