100 UK Millionaires Created!
As promised, last Friday night the Millionaire Raffle game created 100 brand new UK millionaires. It wasn’t the first time that the game had done this – 100 winners of £1 million each were also created in July 2012 – but it is hoped that all of the winners will claim their prize this year. Last year 97 of the 100 winners came forward to claim their prize, and that helped the game to set the current world record for the largest number of millionaires (who claimed their prizes) created in a single lottery draw. If 98 or more winners come forward this time, the game will set a new world record.
The full list of the 100 winning Millionaire Raffle numbers can be viewed on the EuroMillions Results page for Friday’s draw, which can be found right here. Anyone who was lucky enough to match one of those numbers has up to 180 days from the draw date to make their claim, but obviously the sooner claims are made, the better. Will the existing world record be broken? Or will it remain intact for a while longer? We’ll just have to wait and see!
In the main EuroMillions game on Friday 26 July the results were 12, 23, 29, 38 and 49, and the Lucky Star numbers were 03 and 04. No ticket matched all of those numbers, so the jackpot rolled over and will be worth an estimated £19 million this Tuesday 30 July. Six tickets matched all five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to win a second tier prize of £252,202 each, and two of those tickets had been purchased here in the UK. There were 16 tickets that won a third tier prize of £31,525 each by matching five main numbers only, and more than 3.73 million prizes were won in total.
Whilst the EuroMillions jackpot managed to give players the slip on Friday, the Lotto jackpot on Saturday 27 July was landed in great style by a single ticket. The Lotto results were 12, 13, 18, 39, 43 and 49, and the Bonus Ball was 37. The owner of the jackpot-winning ticket is now £6,492,541 richer than he or she was before the game, and the owners of 10 tickets that matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball each won a second tier prize worth £129,148. There were 424,937 prizes won in total, and the combined value of those prizes was in excess of £14.4 million. The next Lotto game this Wednesday 31 July will now offer a brand new jackpot worth around £2 million.
Congratulations to everyone who was lucky enough to win a prize of any kind over the last few days, and especially to the Lotto jackpot winner and the 100 players who landed themselves millionaire status in the Millionaire Raffle game. For those of you who didn’t win as much as you had hoped, visit this page to buy your tickets for the EuroMillions game this Tuesday and you could still win yourself a life-changing jackpot of £19 million before the month is out. Good luck!
