100 UK Millionaire Raffle Draw Approaches
This weekend saw mixed results for UK lottery players. In the UK Lotto, one lucky ticket holder scooped the jackpot of £4.5 million and a whopping 10 players matching five and the Bonus Ball to win £139,166. However, the Friday night Euromillions draw saw less success, with no jackpot winner again, and seven frustrated ticket holders being just one number short of winning a share of that staggering €101 / £79 million jackpot, taking away €330,815 / £241,674 instead. The rollover jackpot means all eyes this week will be on the Euromillions, especially with its extra 100 UK Millionaire Raffle draw taking place on Friday, 27th July 2012.
If you have not yet seen the UK Lotto numbers for the draw on Saturday, 21st July 2012, they were 5, 14, 20, 40, 41, 42 and the Bonus Ball was 8. The Euromillions numbers were 10, 19, 23, 45, 49 and the Lucky Stars 9 and 10. The regular Millionaire’s Raffle, which takes place alongside the Euromillion’s draw also found one millionaire, with code BWY238580 being the winning pick.
This week, instead of giving just one ticket holder the chance to win an instant million, the 100 UK Millionaire Raffle this Friday will see 100 raffle draws, which will break the record for the most millionaires made in one night by a raffle. This will be beating the previous record, also set by the Millionaire’s Raffle, set in Millionaire’s Month, when 25 millionaires were made on one night, 23rd December 2011.
It is no coincidence that this also ties in with the start of the Olympic Games. The winning raffle was devised to take place on the opening night in order to act as a huge thank you to all lottery players, who have played a colossal part in helping the Games get off the ground, via contributions from the Lottery Good Causes fund, which gains 28% of all ticket sales revenue.
This week is set to be a truly exciting week for lottery players and sports fans alike, and with ticket sales expecting to be high for the draw on Friday, Euromillions players are crossing their fingers the jackpot rolls again in tomorrow’s draw, to make a jackpot which is truly spectacular.
