100 Lotto Raffle Winners this Saturday!
There will be 100 Lotto Raffle winners this Saturday 22 February thanks to a rollover in the main Lotto game midweek. As regular players will know, the number of Lotto Raffle prizes in a standard game is 50, but that total increases by 50 with every rollover, until the jackpot is paid out, so the next draw will make each of 100 players £20,000 richer no matter what happens in the main game. As far as the main Lotto jackpot is concerned, the top prize on Saturday night is expected to be worth around £6.6 million.
For those of you who haven’t yet checked your tickets, the Lotto numbers drawn on Wednesday 19 February were 17, 19, 35, 37, 46 and 48, and the Bonus Ball was 02. The fact that the jackpot rolled over wasn’t a massive surprise, but what did raise a few eyebrows was the fact that no ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball either, leaving the second prize tier vacant of winners as well. That left it up to the lowest three prize tiers and the Lotto Raffle game to save the day.
The third prize tier awarded the sum of £2,214 to each of 86 tickets that succeeded in matching five main numbers only. There were 5,463 tickets that matched four main numbers to win £184 each, and another 109,485 tickets won £25 each by matching three main numbers only. All of that meant that the biggest winners on the night were the owners of the 50 Lotto Raffle tickets that won £20,000 each, and the total amount of cash won across the board was £7.96 million.
Players who want to include one or more of the most overdue numbers on their tickets when playing for the £6.6 million Lotto jackpot this Saturday should be considering the numbers 43, 47, 05, 01, 10 and 16. Of course, the only way to actually increase the chances of winning is to buy more tickets, and with 100 Lotto Raffle prizes also up for grabs it is highly likely that plenty of people will be doing just that.
