100 Lotto Raffle Prizes Guaranteed
The Lotto Raffle game is guaranteed to create 100 winners of £20,000 each this Saturday 9 August after the jackpot in the midweek Lotto game rolled over. The jackpot on Wednesday 6 August was worth £2.47 million, and the six main numbers drawn were 17, 21, 29, 33, 35 and 46, with the number 28 appearing as the Bonus Ball. We had previously highlighted one of those numbers – the main number 21 – as being one of the most overdue to make an appearance, so it was good to see it break its dry spell last night.
Although the Lotto jackpot rolled over, the game still had plenty of other prizes to bestow on players, and we are pleased to report that a total of 119,633 prizes were landed by tickets matching three or more main numbers. The biggest winner was the owner of a single ticket that matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to secure a prize of £197,336, so well done to the lucky player concerned.
There were 132 tickets that matched five main numbers only to win a third tier prize of £1,269 each, and a smaller prize of £145 went to each of 6,110 tickets that matched four main numbers. The smallest prize of all – which is always worth £25 – was won by each of 113,390 tickets that matched three main numbers only. In addition, the Lotto Raffle game awarded a prize of £20,000 to each of 50 winners.
The Irish Lotto results on Wednesday 6 August were 07, 11, 24, 32, 33 and 40, and the Bonus Ball number was 38. A single ticket matched all six of the main numbers drawn to win a jackpot worth €5,935,632 and bring a sequence of eight consecutive rollovers to an end. Another single ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win a second tier prize worth €25,000, and more than 33,000 tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers,
Back here in the UK, the numbers drawn in the midweek Health Lottery game were 09, 10, 24, 33 and 35, and the Bonus Ball was 32. No ticket won the top prize on this occasion, but more than 3,300 tickets won consolation prizes, the largest of which had a value of £10,000.
All of this means that lottery players will have a rollover jackpot of around £5.7 million to pursue in the Lotto game this Saturday, as well as the 100 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each. There will also be a top prize of £100,000 to play for in the Health Lottery game and a new jackpot of €2 million up for grabs in the Irish Lotto game. And, as we said yesterday, the EuroMillions game this Friday will offer a double rollover jackpot of around £24 million. Head this way to enter your lucky numbers for any or all of those games and good luck!
