All I want for Christmas is a £15 million cheque!
Some Christmas presents are considered better than others, and
most of us would say that a cheque is better than a pair of socks,
but that a cheque for £15 million would be a lot better!
This was the Christmas cheque that lucky couple Gabrielle and Darren
Nash found out they had won on Christmas Eve from the £15
million Lotto Superdraw jackpot. Gabrielle was the person who was
watching TV while ironing when the Lotto numbers appeared. She knew
her numbers off by heart and so her shouts of “We’ve
won” woke her dozing husband who rushed to get their ticket
to check. Luckily Gabrielle’s mother was staying for Christmas
and she was asked to check the numbers to make completely sure.
Christmas day for the family, who have two young children, was spent
in a bit of a daze as realisation of what they had won sunk in.
Like many men, top of Darren’s wish list is season ticket
for his football team, Tottenham; a Ford Galaxy car, and then the
family have decided on a holiday to Cyprus and a new house. The
family, who live in Stevenage, had been told by an aunt that she
had seen a family lottery win in her horoscope, and also, the mother
in law had dreamt she’d be moving house! So next time your
family says such things to you, make sure you buy your lottery ticket.
The Nash’s lucky numbers were 17,21,25,27,30 and 37.
