Wife keeps lottery win secret

There are lots of weird and wonderful stories associated with lottery winners. Like the man who won a jackpot when he played the ages of family members, but lucky for him he’d got them wrong; or the lady who washed her husband’s jeans but managed to find his winning ticket inside his pocket, and intact; and beat this, the woman who taped one week’s lottery program, then bought a ticket with those numbers on and the following Saturday replayed the recording to her unsuspecting husband and temporarily convinced him they were millionaires!

And now we see an article in the Daily Telegraph (Page 12, 21 January 2006) reporting an anonymous caller to a Radio Five live phone-in on money and happiness. It is reported that she told the Radio show she’d won £1.5 million a few years ago and still has not told her husband, or family. She pays for trips and treats saying it’s a bonus from work, but has no plans to upset the happy family life she has at the moment with two young children and a husband!
