Money Makes Money
The winner of a £17,804,197.80 EuroMillions jackpot from
the 14 April Easter draw, is already a multi-millionaire. And that’s
all the information there is about this single-jackpot winner. The
Sun newspaper gave tips on how to spot a new millionaire living
next door, eg. the shining Bentley on the drive, but this winner
presumably already has all that and so can safely remain anonymous.
Poetry to his ears
Car paint sprayer Patrick Alleyne won £62,000 on the lottery
as part of a work’s syndicate of 19 players based at Tabbitt
Ltd in Henley who won £1.2 million on Lotto. Patrick is an
unpublished poet, but he is hoping to use some of his money to visit
his brother in Melbourne. The syndicate’s ticket was bought
at J Guris newsagent in Wokingham Road, Earley, near Reading.
