Mistake nets a million
Donald and Ann Webster from Derby always play the same Lotto numbers.
But for the draw on Saturday 6 May Donald accidentally marked 33
on his coupon, instead of their usual 34. After discussion with
wife Ann they left the 33 mark, marked 34 as normal and left off
their usual 43.
You can imagine their surprise, disbelief, amazement and joy when
watching the Lotto draw live, they saw their new numbers 2,7,11,21,33,34
drop out as jackpot winners. Now they have received a cheque for
£1,023,801. Had they played their normal numbers and matched
five they would have won £829. Donald works at Rolls Royce
and is a fan and collector, so would not mind buying an addition
for his collection. Ann is keen to upgrade their flights to First
Class for their planned holiday to Florida.
