Celebrations Aplenty for Lotto Players
There were celebrations aplenty for lottery players last weekend. To start with, the EuroMillions double rollover jackpot last Friday 05 March was won by a single player. The jackpot was worth £41,706,216 and the winning ticket was bought outside the UK, so no details about the winner are currently available. What we do know is that plenty of British players won one or more secondary EuroMillions prizes, and somebody somewhere became £1,000,000 richer thanks to the Millionaire Raffle number, which was DKR361644. As for the Lotto jackpot on Saturday, four lucky tickets matched the six main numbers to win £1,822,869 each.

Lotto Rollover this Saturday
No National Lottery player managed to match all six Lotto numbers on Wednesday 3 March, so the Lotto jackpot for this Saturday 6 March will be worth around £7.5 million. Add in the prospect of winning a EuroMillions double rollover jackpot of around £40 million, or maybe the Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million this Friday 5 March and we have a weekend of lottery action that could prove to be life-changing for anyone lucky enough to get all of the lottery numbers they need.

Free Scratchcards at Hopa
Lottery players who also like to play online scratchcard games will be delighted to hear that specialist scratchcards website Hopa is giving away a free game every day throughout March. However, the site has decided to makes things a little more interesting by not telling players which game is the free one! Instead, players have to try and find the free game for themselves. If you happen to play the game that has been designated as the free one then you will be refunded any losses that you experience when playing that game when it is revealed the following day.

Angus Syndicate Wins Lotto Jackpot
A lottery syndicate of 25 workers at a haulage company in Angus matched all six Lotto numbers on Wednesday 24 February to win the jackpot. There were three winning tickets in total last Wednesday, so the £2.21 million jackpot was split equally, giving the syndicate a prize of £739,121. With 25 members in the syndicate, each one now has £29,564 to spend on whatever they like. The oldest member of the syndicate is company boss, David Murray, who is 65, and the youngest member is apprentice mechanic Shannon Jamieson, who is just 16.

Lotto Won but EuroMillions Rolls
One lucky National Lottery player managed to win the Lotto jackpot of £4,310,939 on Saturday 27 February by matching all six main numbers. The lottery results for Saturday’s game were 07, 14, 17, 42, 44 and 45, with number 47 being drawn as the Bonus Ball. Unfortunately, the EuroMillions jackpot the day before wasn’t so forthcoming, and no player matched all five main numbers (07, 11, 18, 29 and 42) as well as both Lucky Star numbers (06 and 07). That means we now have a EuroMillions double rollover jackpot of around £40 million to play for this Friday, as well as a brand new Lotto jackpot of £2.4 million this Wednesday 3 March.

Three Midweek Lotto Winners
Three Lotto players were lucky enough to match all six main numbers drawn on Wednesday 24 February to share a jackpot prize worth £2,217,363. That makes each winning ticket worth £739,121, though of course it is still too early to know who the winners are. If you want to check to see if one of them might be you then we can tell you that the lottery results for the midweek draw were 03, 11, 18, 23, 38 and 49. The Bonus Ball was number 34, and if those numbers eluded you then the next big game to have a go at is EuroMillions this Friday, where the jackpot will be worth around £25 million.

Search On for Jackpot Winner
A National Lottery player who purchased a ticket in the Leeds area for the Lotto draw on Saturday 6 February has not yet come forward to claim a jackpot prize worth £777,644. Lottery officials are now urging anyone who has bought a ticket for that draw to check their tickets against the lottery results, which were 03, 12, 15, 17, 22 and 29. The jackpot on 6 February was worth £3,668,220, but there were five winners in all, which is why the Leeds winner is owed £777,644 rather than the full amount.

Whizz-Kidz Get Lottery Boost
The Big Lottery Fund has awarded the Whizz-Kidz charity a grant of £496,783 to help fund a number of schemes across England that will help children and young people with disabilities to improve their wheelchair skills and general mobility. The Whizz-Kidz grant is part of an £11.8 million funding package that will benefit several important charities in England, including Action for Blind People and the Fostering Network. National Lottery players will be pleased to hear that more than £23 billion has now been raised for good causes since the lottery began in 1994, and over 317,000 grants have been awarded over the same period.

Bonus Ball Win for Syndicate
A syndicate of workers at the Glascote Heath, Tamworth branch of the refrigeration company Petit Forestier matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball on Saturday 13 February to win a Lotto prize worth £81,698. The lottery results for that draw were 16, 22, 24, 30, 39 and 44, and the Bonus Ball was number 09. There are thirteen members in the lottery syndicate, so each one now has an extra £6,284 to spend. The win was discovered by syndicate leader Diane Morgan, and her impromptu celebrations in the kitchen about what she thought was a simple five-figure win were more than enough to get the attention of her husband, David.

Midweek Millions for Lotto Winner
One lucky player won the Lotto jackpot outright on Wednesday 17 February, though of course it is much too early to know who that player is. The jackpot was worth £2,566,661 and the lottery results which landed that sum were 03, 22, 27, 31, 38 and 49. The Bonus Ball was number 45. Whether the winner is already aware of their success, or has yet to discover their brand new multi-millionaire status, we don’t know. But we do know that the next Lotto jackpot for this Saturday 20 February will now be worth around £4.5 million.
