Losing Lady Luck

Camelot’s recent TV adverts featured actress Fay Ripley as Lady Luck, with her sidekick-unicorn Barry, voiced by Graham Norton. This advert was credited with generating over £10 million in additional sales for the lottery operator but this did not help when it came to the nominations for Campaign magazine’s annual ‘Turkey of the Year TV advert award’. Lady Luck won the award despite apparently being also one of the 10 most-remembered ads of the year as stated by sister magazine, Marketing.
