Cash Explosion Winner

A Warehouse Manager from Bradford is celebrating after winning the top prize of £1,000,000 in the £1 Million Cash Explosion scratch card game. Michael Humphreys bought his winning Cash Explosion game card on his way to work on Wednesday 23 May at around 5:30 in the morning, then duly forgot about it until he was enjoying a break in the staff canteen several hours later. That was when he scratched the card and discovered that he had become an instant millionaire.

“First thing I thought when I had realised I had won £1 million was simply ‘I don’t believe it’,” Michael said. “I enjoy the excitement of playing scratchcards as you know straight away if you have won, and I have been playing the cards for as long as I can remember. I have won £10 or £20 here and there, but nothing like this.”

When Michael scratched the £1 million Cash Explosion prize he knew exactly what to do next. “I called my partner, Shirley, straight away – she was speechless,” Michael said. “She had recovered enough by the time I got home to have already got together a list of properties she wanted to look at, but I want to take it one step at a time. I have not even decided about work yet. They asked if I was going to leave, but I am really happy here so we will have to see.”

Michael has two adult children and is an enthusiastic supporter of Leeds United Football Club. His priority at the moment is to ensure that his children are financially secure, but he also has a soft-top convertible on his shopping list and will be taking a serious look at Shirley’s list of houses.

At the time of writing there are still two more top prizes worth £1 million each in the £1 Million Cash Explosion scratch card game. Cards cost £5 each and give the player a 1 in 4.05 chance of winning a prize.
