UK misses Triple Rollover

One EuroMillions winner scooped €58,367,681 (around £46.3 million) on Friday 18 April by matching the five main numbers and both Lucky Stars. The main numbers were 3, 6, 7, 27 and 50, and the Lucky Stars were 5 and 9.

The winner was not in the UK, but 16 players in Britain did match the five main numbers to win £46,385.70 each.

The €58 million jackpot was the result of three consecutive rollovers. Whilst it was by no means the largest EuroMillions jackpot (that record stands at €115 million, which was won in July 2005 by Dolores McNamara of Ireland) it generated enough excitement to make ticket sales surge in the days leading up to the draw.

The EuroMillions jackpot has now been reset and the next jackpot will be worth around €15,000,000 (£11.9 million).
