Sirens Slots

The Sirens online slots game is based on the mythological sirens of Ancient Rome. Not up to speed on Ancient Mythology? Don't worry, all you need to know is that the sirens were three part-beast-part-women who were in the habit of seducing sailors with their voices and thereby cause as many shipwrecks as they could get away with.

The Sirens slots game doesn't give you any of that back-story, but if you take one look at the appearance of the game you would easily get the basic idea. The game is set against the ocean at night with a lone ship sailing under the full moon, and an animated version of that scene is used as a Scatter symbol. Other symbols include the playing card ranks 10, J, Q, K and A, various ancient artefacts (a helmet, lyre, vase, etc), a Hero and the three Sirens themselves.

There are five reels and nine pay lines in the Sirens slots game, so if you play all nine pay lines you can win multiple prizes with every spin. The Hero symbol is Wild, so it can be counted as any other symbol except the ship Scatter or the Sirens, which makes winning easier than it would be otherwise. As with most other slots games, the majority of wins are generated by having matching symbols appear consecutively from left to right, but there are a few exceptions:

• First, if you get two or more ship scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, you win a Scatter award. Two ships give you a Scatter bonus worth 2x your bet, three ships give you 5x, four ships give you 20x and five ships give you 100x.
• Next, the Siren symbols also work as Scatters, but in this case you trigger a special Free Spins feature if you get three sirens on reels 3, 4 and 5. Initially you get 15 free spins and all prizes won from a free spin are doubled. You can also get more free spins by getting another three Sirens on the last three reels.
• Last, but not least, there is the Rapidfire Jackpot. This is a jackpot that is paid out entirely at random, so you could win it on your first spin just as easily as on any other spin.

As you would expect for a game based on ancient mythology, Sirens is great to look at and - in fitting with the myth itself - seductively soothing to listen to. And of course, the real twist is that in this situation encountering the Sirens won't end in a shipwreck, but in a slew of free spins!
