How to Play

Begin by choosing your stake for each spin of the reels. You can stake as little as 20p or as much as £10, according to your preference.

That done, you should now choose whether you want to play in Regular Play or Alternative Play mode. Regular Play makes Pirates Gold play like any other slot machine, and prizes are awarded when you get matching symbols on the pay line. Alternative Play mode turns the tables on conventionality by paying out on all the combinations that would lose in Regular Play mode.

Click on BET to start the reels spinning and then wait for them to stop. Pirates Gold will automatically check your pay line and award any prize that you have won.

Bonus Board

If you get four BONUS symbols in a row (in Regular Play mode only) then you will activate the Bonus Board which allows you to win up to 1,000 times your stake. The Bonus Board shows a wheel and a pointer. Click on SPIN to start the wheel spinning and the value that the pointer indicates when the wheel stops is added to your bonus win. It is possible to spin the wheel repeatedly to build up your winnings, but when the pointer indicates the EXIT symbol then the bonus game ends and your bonus win is added to your account.

Automatic Bonus Features

In addition to the main Bonus Board, Pirates Gold has four automatic bonus features, as follows:

Automatic Nudging

If the Automatic Nudging feature is activated then the Pirates Gold game awards anything from 1 to 9 nudges and automatically nudges the four reels to try and nudge in a win. Note that a win is not always possible, so this feature cannot guarantee a prize.

Automatic Holding

This feature automatically holds some of the reels and gives you a free spin of the remaining reels so that you have a chance of spinning in a win, although spinning in a win is not guaranteed.

Automatic Superhold

Unlike the previous two Automatic features, the Automatic Superhold does guarantee a win. It works by shifting the four reels up and down one notch and holding the four symbols that will give you the biggest prize.

Automatic Reelmatch

The Automatic Reelmatch feature also guarantees a win for the player. When this bonus feature is activated the four reels will flash and Pirates Gold will hold one of them. The remaining reels will then spin in three matching symbols to create a winning line.
