Lotto Birthday Celebration
The first ever Lotto draw took place on Saturday 19 November, 1994. That means we are just a few weeks away from celebrating 15 years of National Lottery jackpots, and although there have already been a number of official celebratory events, many lottery players will want to mark the occasion with a private celebration of their own. If you are one of them, here is a quick guide to doing just that…
Decide on a Date
Perhaps the best way to celebrate the birth of the UK Lotto game is to throw a party on a Lotto draw day. 19 November falls on a Thursday this year, so you will need to decide whether you want to throw a party on Saturday 14 November, Wednesday 18 November or Saturday 21 November. Your decision here will probably depend on your work days, but also keep an eye open for any special draw that might take place – we’ll bring you any breaking lottery news on that topic as soon as we get it!
Invite Friends
Next, make sure you invite a few friends to your lottery celebration so that they can join in the fun. The more people you have at your private celebration, the more fun it will be. You don’t need to send out formal invites unless you really want to, but do give people plenty of advance notice so that they can mark your event in their diaries.
Form a One-Off Syndicate
Another idea is to consider forming a one-off lottery syndicate. All you have to do is get everyone who is invited to your celebration to invest enough cash for one or two tickets each, then gather all of that cash together and buy lottery tickets online. If any of those tickets wins a prize, everyone who participates in your syndicate can enjoy a share of the spoils. Of course, once you have formed your one-off syndicate you could choose to keep it running, and thereby increase your chances of winning in the future.
Watch the Draw!
Last, but not least, be sure to watch the draw live on television so that you see the lottery results as they happen. With millions of pounds up for grabs and a bunch of online entries on your side, your celebration of the Lotto’s birthday could well turn into a jackpot-winning celebration!
