Christmas Gifts for Lottery Players

Christmas Lottery There is just a short time to go until Christmas, and for most people that means a lot of head-scratching as they try to think of gifts to buy for their friends and family members. To help make your Christmas shopping go a little easier in 2009, we have put together a few gift suggestions that would be suitable for anyone who enjoys playing National Lottery games. Of course, if you fancy dropping a few hints of your own then you could always print this news article and leave it somewhere prominent for a while…

iPhone / iPod Touch
An iPhone (or iPod Touch if the recipient has WiFi access) is probably not the kind of gift that you would want to give to a casual acquaintance, but if you don’t mind the cost it would make a great Christmas present for a lottery player. Why? Well, apart from being able to make and receive phone calls, play music and watch videos, the iPhone runs various applications, some of which are ideal for lottery players.

For example, our own Lottery iPhone Application (which is free) allows you to check the latest lottery results and check your numbers without even leaving your armchair. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the iPhone allows you to access the internet – so you can visit this website at any time  just as easily!

Lucky Charms
If an iPhone or iPod Touch is a bit too expensive for the recipient you have in mind, you could buy lucky charms instead. No, we’re not talking about the breakfast cereal that kids used to love, but about charm bracelets, Feng Shui coins and other items that people often associate with good luck. As lottery experts we have to point out that the odds of winning a jackpot are exactly the same whether you rub a rabbit’s foot or not, but having a lucky charm ‘on your side’ can certainly help to make you feel a bit more lucky. And who knows, the lucky feeling might result in a big win!

Lottery Tickets!
Last, but by no means least, you can buy lottery tickets as Christmas presents, and many players will view this to be the best present of all. There are a couple of ways of giving lottery tickets as gifts, and the most obvious is by purchasing offline tickets or scratchcards and enclosing them in a Christmas card. The problem with that approach is that the tickets can be lost or stolen (especially in the Christmas post) which probably wouldn’t make for a very merry Christmas.

A much better alternative is to buy tickets online and then tell the recipient which numbers you have entered and for which draw. And if you can’t stand the idea of your friend winning without you, you could always buy a duplicate ticket for yourself so that the jackpot is shared if those numbers come up!

These are just a few ideas to get you thinking along the right lines, and with a bit of imagination you should probably be able to come up with something else that the lottery player in your life will love. Whatever you decide, don’t forget to treat yourself at the same time – there are some great jackpots on offer in the Lotto and EuroMillions draws coming up, so why not buy lottery tickets online before you start your Christmas shopping?
